Terms for iPhone
The listening details.
Last updated November 5, 2026
These terms cover the Renarrator app for iPhone and the account service it uses. They are between you and Nathan Brown (“Renarrator”, “we”). Contact us at support@renarrator.com.
Apple’s license agreement
Your license to use the app comes from Apple’s standard End User License Agreement. These terms add details about purchases and the account service. If they conflict with that agreement about your license to the app, that agreement applies.
What is free
Apple voices are free and don’t need an account. A verified email account also gets one 30-minute allowance of AI and cloud voices, counted as you listen and shared across your devices and Renarrator in Chrome. It needs an internet connection, and it never turns into a paid purchase on its own. Deleting your account and signing in again with the same address doesn’t restore minutes you have used.
App Store purchases and refunds
Apple is the seller of purchases made in the app. Apple takes the payment, shows the price and taxes for your region when you buy, and issues your receipt.
Apple is also the route for refunds. We can’t issue a refund for an App Store purchase. Request one from Apple. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, the features it unlocked stop being available.
The seven-day refund policy published for the desktop version of Renarrator doesn’t apply to App Store purchases. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
What “Lifetime” means
Renarrator Lifetime is a one-time unlock of the app’s features: English AI voices that run on your device, and the use of cloud voices with your own provider keys. It isn’t a subscription and nothing renews. You can restore it on your devices with the same Apple Account.
Lifetime is not a promise that any particular website, video or outside service will keep working with the app. Websites change how they deliver video and captions, and they can stop working with Renarrator at any time. Cloud voice providers, model hosts and Apple can also change or end what they offer, and new versions of iOS or older devices can limit what runs. Provider charges aren’t included.
Using Renarrator
Use Renarrator only with content you are permitted to access, and follow the terms of the sites you visit. You are responsible for your own accounts on those sites.
Narration needs captions from the video, and captions can contain errors that will be read aloud. Narration replaces the original audio, including music and sound effects, while it plays. Results depend on the website, the captions and your device.
Keep sign-in codes and provider keys secure. Don’t interfere with the account service or use it to send unsolicited email.
Cloud voice providers
Cloud voices use your own account with OpenAI, ElevenLabs or Google. The provider bills you directly for that use, and Renarrator neither sells nor includes its credits. Those charges aren’t part of any Renarrator or App Store refund. You are responsible for using keys you are authorized to use and for following that provider’s terms.
Your account
You don’t need an account to use Apple voices or to buy and restore Lifetime. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting it doesn’t refund an App Store purchase, and that purchase stays with your Apple Account.
Software notices
The app includes third-party software under its own licenses. You can read those notices in the app under Settings → About → Acknowledgements.
Privacy and changes
Our privacy notice describes what stays on your device and what we collect. The date at the top identifies this version of the terms. We will publish any change here before it takes effect.
